ABC Lan Script v2.02 (32 Bit) Readme File ========================================= KNOWN PROBLEMS IN THIS RELEASE ============================== This section details problems which are known to exist in this release, but will be rectified in future releases. Please contact technical support for information on these fixes. 1) Files in use when installing Lan Script ========================================== The installation may cause an access violation whilst copying MSVCRT20.DLL or MSVCRT40.DLL. This is due to another application already using these files. If this happens choose Ignore and continue with the installation. 2) Distribution support for NT Services ========================================== Contact ABC's Support Desk for information on how to distribute Windows NT Services with Lan Script. 3) Merge ABC Registry parameters on Windows NT4 ============================================== Windows 95 Works as documented. This only affects Windows NT4. Merge ABC Registry parameters on NT4 work in a slightly different manner from that specified in the user guide. The parameters work as follows: No final parameter = Only logged on user modified. |ALL and |DEFAULT = Logged on user and .DEFAULT modified. 5) Installing into a directory with Non standard Alpha Characters ================================================================== in the Name =========== During the install process, if you change the install directory to one that does not exist with a name containingnon standard alpha characters (i.e. ΔΕΘ§ etc) the directory created will not match the non standard characters selected and the the main program will be unable to find the new directory to run the program. This problem can be resolved by either using standard alpha characters (A->Z) or by ensuring the directory exists before the install is run. 6) WriteFailedMIF ================= In the latest User Guide which combines the 16bit and 32bit guides there is a new command shown as WriteFailedMIF, it should be ReturnFailedMIF. The syntax of the command is as stated but the command name has changed.
